My senior recital is soon upon me, and, with it, all of the stress therein! My recital will be a combination vocal/composition recital, though I am not required to do a vocal recital. (How could I resist though?)
On the vocal half of the concert I will be performing works by Mozart, Handel, Purcell, Schumann, and Glass. This will be rounded off by a guest performance of soprano, Ariel Downs singing my opera scene, One Oak Door. All pieces on the first half of my concert will be accompanied by pianist, Po Sim Wong.
The second half is purely original compositions with a handful of offerings, which track my progression as composer from arriving at UMKC to some of my most recent work. This concert will see two newly revised works, the official recording of my award-winning composition, Forest Rituals, and the world premiere of my reed quintet, Aftershock.
Can't wait. :)
